Perhaps my brain has somehow learned to ignore minor, yet important to some, differences because I'm a student with a strict budget haha. I'd rather be happy with what I've got and not lust after more expensive gear. We've all got reservations.

Definitely agree about the terrible engineering behind most popular music. Wish that more time were spent, but it is what it is and I will just spend my time listening to music that is made with moe care. beerchug.gif

Hey don't mean to jack this thread, but do you guys know if razordogs is a legit site to buy a brand new hd 600?

They are an authorized dealer for Sennheiser. They have a huge positive feedback on ebay and

the owner is purported to be a member here. I can't imagine sennheiser would allow them to advertise

themselves as an authorized dealer if they are not.

Pretty sure that even when they sell open box on ebay they're still new! There is built on selling new, not refurbs like dakmart, for example.

www.razordogaudio.com has come to set the standard for customer service and prices on headfi.org. Buy without fear! You are likely to not find a better price and definitely not better customer service.

Yes they are brand new. And as imackler pointed out, even the open box items they sell are pretty much brand new in every way. I've never seen them sell a used headphone.

+1 re:Razordog.  Good company!  Got my 600's from them.  It was fast, easy, and at a good price.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the HF 600's for $319? That is an awesome price! As far as an amp is concerned I am not an expert on them but I know a lot of people like the bottleneck amps or little dot MK's

I just purchased a pair of hd600's for 319  shipped. Now the long dreaded wait for ground shipping.

Now I need an amp to go with my analog tube section. Any suggestions?

thanks

www.razordogaudio.com w/ coupon code RAZORDOG20

Thank you imackler! That code gave me $99 off the HD650's! Wish I had the money to buy them at that price! Or if there was someone who would make a trade with me for HD 600 or HD 650's. I have a classified, but no luck yet =(

I  went to Razordog and purchased the 600's and entered the $100 discount and it was rejected.

Then they sent me an email offering another $30 discount to the allowable $50 rebate bringing

it to 319 from 399.  I was amazed to say the least.

Now what amp to buy,

ld mk4se

woo 2

schiit valhalla

Any other thoughts??

thanks

Really did not like the Valhalla w/ the HD600. Too bright/screechy for my tastes.

Razordog also sells on E bay.  They listed at a buy now for $399 or make an offer.  I offered $320 and they approved and shipped.
