^  Haha I actually bought the Inception Soundtrack last week so I can relate to the experience.

You guys are talking about the normal soundtrack or an other fancy track that makes it worth it?

I received my HD 600s last night in the mail, and even from the little listening I've done these headphones have wowed me.  They are far superior to the Audio-Technica M50s I already had.  Very great headphones and excellent value at $200 on ebay!

Listening to Yucca Flats recorded by Mapleshade Records...tough recording for some systems but the 600's sound about as good as I've heard from a headphone. This is a phenomenal band btw and if you have the chance it's a great listen.

Something that seemed terrible at the time has actually helped me - about 2 years back my M50's were stolen from my car (along with other stuff). Terrible at the time but drove me to go out and get new can's. Now I  split time equally between HD600's & Beyer DT990's with some Pioneer SE-A1000 thrown in when I need a long long cord.

We seem to have a lot of new happy owners chiming in. I'm not surprised. I have and had headphones that cost much more and I'm still happily using my HD600's along with them.

I use them mainly with my analogue source and think they are ahead of any other headphone I own. They are fantastically balanced with nice tone.

  Hello,
i'm thinking getting the HD600 to compliment the HD650, but are they that similar as they say? Who owns both?

I own HD 600, heard both, the difference to me myself was actually pretty big, HD 600 is perfect to me, perfectly balanced, HD 650 is a little bassier, however it's way more extremely "colourful", unrealistic and I do not like them at all whatsoever, I can't really think of any reason (personally) to go with 650.

I also have both of them, both the latest iterations with "white" drivers. To me the difference is quite large. I feel that HD600 and HD580 have much more in common. HD650 is much beefier with overemphasized lower mids. Both HD600 and HD650 sound are very transparent headphones with very natural reproduction of timbres. I love them both with HD600 being my absolut favorite. I like HD600 actually better than the HD800 that I had demoed some time ago. HD600 came close to being perfect headphones regardless of price.
