Asgard 2 would sound even better than Asgard 1 with HD600 right?

Really? So is it the lyr that doesn't go well with the HD600? I want to upgrade my amp/dac with that schiit so I can eventually upgrade to LCD2s after a while and not have to worry about changing anything else for a very long time.

Yep. I heard the Asgard 2 at a meet recently. It sounds beautiful, and i love what it does to the low end.

Can I wash the ear pads without any soap and just use water only?  It's super smelly and oily and I've been using my Beyer 880s exclusively for the past couple months but I just got the Bifrost Uber and Asgard 2 yesterday and now I wanna try it with the HD600s

Without soap, how will get the oil into the water? Water and oil don't mix, so it just doesn't make sense. Ever washed your hair with water only? Did it work?

Use shampoo and warm water, towel it off and let it air dry. Then put them back on the headphone.

Yeah your right.  I just used non scented downy fabric softener liquid detergent.

This don't matter and I'm just telling my observation but It just goes right through the pads, I thought it would stick to the top then I rub it in.  I still rubbed the pads and I saw very little soap come out I hope it is clean enough.  Now the worst part is waiting for the pads to dry.  It won't get any mold or anything will it?

Try a little thing of Woolite Delicate.  Mix it in a bowl of water and hand massage em.  Smash out the water and put em in front of fan to speed up the drying process.

Can I put only the ear pads in the dryer?  Also is the plastic part of the ear pads removeable?

I wouldn't and no.

I massage moist pads regularly for a day or two after I've washed them to help air them out. Whether this might flatten the pads I don't know, but I'd rather have that than mold.

oops

How can I avoid mold after washing pads?  Right now I am letting them sit on top of my hot Asgard 2

Get a fan, massage them, and relax.
