Hi there.

I'd like to know the general consensus on whether a DIYmod would be different from an iMod or a WhipMod in terms of SQ. Of course I do know that how each of those can good is subjective but hearing from you guys would help me decide on whether the extra spent on the iMod or WhipMod can be justified.

I know that the wires used for WhipMod is cryo'd silver and from what I have seen, most usually agree that they are not worth the money especially for the ALO LODs. I do not know what else they do but from what I gather, a 5.5g Ipod with 240GB that DIYmodded would cost almost half of what a 240GB WhipMod does. Whiplash, of course, charges reasonably for their services but it really makes me wonder if these cables do what they are really supposed to do.

Has anyone tried listening to DIYmod and any of the commercially available mods side by side? I really want to know if they really do sound better with the supposedly better wires.

Thanks
