Hissing issues: Mbox 2 mini.

Hey guys, I have been running my KRK RP10S > KRK RP6 monitors through my mbox, plugged in via USB into my macbook pro. There was a very slight hissing sound coming from the monitors, but it was not audible with music playing. I recently finally got the mbox to work on my PC, but once I turn it on, there was a rather loud hissing coming from them. This was much louder than it was with the macbook pro and is actually audible at listening levels. Does anyone know what could be causing this, considering it wasn't nearly as bad coming from the macbook?

First isolate where the hiss is coming from by plugging and unplugging everything.

i'd suggest by turning down the input volume control(s) to check if its something to do with that - i've seen it happen my old mbox2 - just turn it down a touch and it works perfectly
