Rippingtons Modern Art Smooth Jazz Revisted

Well as I rebuild my music library with AIFF rips via CD I have been hitting Amazon.com for used CD's. I'm loving the Rippintons all over again. Sax and organ and drums on the "I Still Believe" really got to me. The sax on "One Step Closer" is fabulous! This is good stuff. I'm really glad to be revisiting my faves with higher end sampling instead of my downloads via iTunes. Play it Again Sam, only better.

I loved earlier Rippingtons (Black Diamond, Live in LA, Topaz, etc)  The more recent stuff has gotten almost too smooth sounding.  If you like Rippingtons, check out Ken Navarro's last two  (Dreaming of Trains and The Grace of Morning Light).  You'll love it.  Acoustic Alchemy good too!  (Aart)
