PortaPros don't work properly...

A long time ago my PortaPro's both wires got ripped out from the speaker. One day, my guitar teacher randomly was soldering something, and I asked if he could fix my headphones. He soldered the wires to the speakers, and i tried them on my iPod. It was no bass, and it sounded strange. When i came home, I just put them away.

But yesterday i tried them on my laptop, and they worked properly! But they still don't work on my iPod. What am I going to do? I know how to change the plug, but what causes the problem? The plug looks pretty worn out...

Use a DMM to measure if there's a short somewhere.

What you are describing is commonly an iffy ground.

The best way to fix Koss headphones is to return them to koss.
