This article is on our front page http://news.cnet.com/8301-13645_3-20026650-47.html

Anyone know anything more about it? I sent an e-mail to Chesky, but got no response

Sounds great.  Hope they package it so you can get both versions.

Looks very interesting! I do hope Chesky does more of this dummy head binaural stuff.

I have recorded some hi-res binaural and the sound is superb. It would be nice to see it implemented by a high end audiophile label.

I just sent another e-mail to Chesky, hopefully they'll respond and I can let everyone know the status.

In the meantime anybody have any other binaural MUSIC recordings they can recommend

The Ultrasone demo CD, which you can buy from Ultrasone (which I did) if you don't have a pair of their headphones.

And a couple of classical binaural recordings are available from Amazon:

Also check out the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra - they record their stuff binaurally, it's awesome

Found this:

Hope they continue to release more binaural. Bought the Saint-Saens. Thanks for the tip!

Shame they only sell it as an MP3. A lot of the binaural cues are lost when you do lossy compression.

Yeah, selling these as MP3 is a little silly - why not capture everything?

Can anyone recommend a site with lossless binaural recordings? HDtracks doesn't seem to have any. (And I'm in Canada, so buying from Amazon.com isn't an option.)

Hey,

I wrote jude a personal message a few days ago, didn't get an answer yet, but hopefully he will give an answer. I'm also interested in listening some of this stuff smily_headphones1.gif have a few binaural records by Bowers & Wilkins which aren't that bad, but mostly spoken words and no music. There are a few new albums out by them, but didn't get the chance to listen to them yet.

cheers,

Abe

Yes. I'll need to see if there are enough I am interested in to justify the $40/6 months membership fee.

Are there any other significant benefits?

Thanks
