Question regarding DACMagic volume control:

Hey guys, please excuse the stupid question.. I'm just wondering how if I had my KRK Active monitors hooked up via balanced XLR and my HA-160 connected via RCA on a DACMagic, or any DAC without volume control, how would the speaker volume be controlled? I'm after a $500 DAC that I can hook both my HA-160 and monitors up to and control the volume on each and I'm tossing up between the DACMagic and the FUN, just sorting out my final queries.

Cheers!

SM Pro Audio Nano Patch+ passive volume attenuator:

or you could stay in the digital domain, as I do: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/powermate

a cheapo stepless analog pot will never sound as good as 64bit digital attenuation IMHO.
