If the new ones turn out EQUALLY as good and EQUALLY priced as other reputable brands, no I would not buy them. Their marketing makes this product too common, and buying one just makes you ANOTHER person who bought the Beats. No individuality. And audiophiles already have that impression of "anyone using Beats just got ripped" will immediately make you an idiot under their eyes, so much for first impressions on people.
BUT, if they turn out BETTER and/or CHEAPER than those reputable brands by a big enough margin, I MIGHT consider it.
