This might be confusing when one is reading a thread.

Where do you usually write when you quote a prior post?

Are you an above quoter or a below quoter?

Also, which is more correct?

Above quoter here. So you dont have to scroll down the post to see what someone's saying about another post. Although i do "below quoting" as well (its not bellow as thats shouting i think) because sometimes you have to read the quote before you can understand the quoter

On the last couple of forums I came from it was very standard to quote below.  Head-fi is actually the first forum I've been on that has it all mixed up.

It's contextual. Sometimes I go on top.

I think it depends on the type of statement. Sometimes I bellow. ;)

I prefer below because it allows one to see what you are referring to before reading your response.

Same... Especially when you're agreeing with someone, it's helpful to know what that other person said first...

below seems like the way to go when one is replying. i actually find weird that some people quote and post above.

I only bellow when they can't hear me.

As far as quoting, I like to have my quote, then my response under it, since, logically, it makes it easier and faster for the reader to see to whom I am replying.

Below, definitely. It just makes more sense.

Below! Gah it makes no sense to me when people above-quote. To me below quoting makes it seem more like an actual conversation.

Above quoting confuses me because at every other site it below...that's right, it just makes more sense.

Top-quote, bottom-reply.

When there are a nest of quotes in a single post, it makes the most sense to read it from oldest to newest.

People are going to scroll down anyway, because that's where the next post is.

Comment below the quote. You need to establish the context of your comment.
