Right now I've got a Millet starving student, it does nicely for what I paid, but I'm yearning for something a bit less touchy, and a bit more robust.
I listen on Sennheiser 555's but will be upgrading to 600 or 650's once I see a good pair pop up on a used forum somewhere.
I run a line out from a macbook, ipod or iphone as source. I listen to a wide variety, but dig really well mastered prog rock, post rock, occasionally dipping into pop, industrial, blues, jazz. Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Blueneck, Marillion, ISIS, Russian Circles, Mono, NIN, Zeromancer, Chopin, Arvo Part, New Pornographers, Chet Baker, Tom Waits, Catherine Feeny
Yeah I guess I need a lot of versatility.
