Grado stock cable question

Thread Starter
I want to re-terminate my grado sr325is but I don't want to deal with opening the cups and all that, so I figured I could cut a few inches off the existing cable and just put a new plug on it. However, I don't know how the stock cable is wired and how the wires are colored if at all.

If you know what colors are used or have done this before any advice is appreciated

Surely you have a multimeter?

If you get truly lost you can poke a long & thin probe in through the back of the headphone mesh to contact the solderpads on the drivers.
