Can I use my iPad Touch without iTunes?

I got my friends old iPad Touch 2G because the glass screen is broken (still works fine) and he got a new one for Christmas, but I'd like to use it without installing iTunes. I don't really want to do anything but put music on it. Will I have to jailbreak it? Can I jailbreak it?

Mediamonkey will put music on it just fine.

I don't know what firmware it's running, but when I had my 2G Touch it was jailbroken. Look up "blackra1n".

 

I'm still confused to if we're talking about and iPod or iPad...

Well, it has to be iPod, because the OP referred to it as Touch 2G.....nobody calls the iPad the iPad Touch, and there is no 2G version yet of the iPad.wink_face.gif
