How Many LED Lights Are On In The Room While You Sleep?

2 Green.......An air conditioner and cable box

2 Red..........A plasma TV and an LCD TV

2 Orange.....Two wall plugs

Some of you maybe do not want to count the controls of the USS Enterprise? When most people sleep I would guess only 6 or so are on. Where did the proliferation of all these lights come from? A couple of years ago there were only a few. At the current rate of reproduction it could look like Christmas every night!

If the Assemblage is plugged in, there are only three lights on that.  Most of the light comes from the clock display on the SB Touch.  Now if you moved to how many lights are on in my living room at any one time, that's a stupid amount.  tongue_smile.gif

Last semester when I went to bed one night, I covered every single LED in my room with post-it notes. My roommates were incredibly amused. It just felt so right at the time :)

EDIT: For reference, it took about a half hour, but it was hella dark that night.

I cover them all when I go to sleep, except for my router and modem ones. Those are in the corner and are not visible from my bed so no problems there. ph34r.gif

I have five LED lights turned on at all times:

Resolution Audio Opus 21 Power Centre

ASUS N61JV-X2 notebook PC

Thermaltake BlacX

Alarm clock radio

VTECH 5.8 GHz wireless telephone

I got used to it so I have no problems falling asleep anymore.

Well, I'm not going to count them all, but just from glancing around, I can see:

  • Modem
  • Wi-Fi router
  • Laptop if it's only sleeping
  • Alarm Clock
  • Surge protector

I don't have too many, but the LED lights that are going are very, very bright. Particularly my power supply's fan. I think it probably has 4 LEDs in it. The damn power supply lights up the whole room, and to make matters worse, points right at my bed!

The phone I have in my room has a flashing yellow light, which is almost just as obnoxious!

Unless there are LEDs in my alarm clock, none. And I think my alarm clock is a primitive LCD panel.

Just one on my alarm clock.

In my dorm:

Phone charging on my nightstand.

Big red alarm clock (Sonic Bomb, Its great for people who are heavy sleepers, not so great if you have to get up before your roommate, they won't like that)

2 powerstrips

Time read-out on my microwave

Stand-By light on my tv

Charge-indicator on my laptop.

7 total sources, but the cellphone and the alarm clock are the brightest. I can sleep with the lights on however.
