Looking for speakers <$200 for Movies

I've spent a great deal of time searching through this forum and others, but I've been rather disappointed with the amount of information I've been able to find. While there are a LOT of threads on speakers in this price range, pretty much none of them are focused on movie watching.

It seems to me that there are basically two options at this level. Buy 2.1 speakers designed for computers, or buy 2.0 monitors designed for mixing and such. A number of the monitors look quite appealing to me (AV40, Bx5a), but I worry that they won't have enough bass impact for movies. I'm not obsessed with bass, but I certainly don't want it to be lacking either. So then there's the 2.1 speakers such as the ProMedia's and Logitech Z2300s. However, the overall quality of these would appear to be considerably lesser than a nice pair of monitors.

While a setup using monitors + a subwoofer seems like it would be a really nice solution, it seems doubtful that I would be able to do that within my budget. $250 is about the highest I would be willing to go for the whole setup.

I've also looked at the Swan M10s. They seem like they might be a pretty nice compromise, but I simply have no place to put the center channel speaker.

I'm considering just picking up a pair of ProMedia's off eBay and calling it a day, but I'd love to hear opinions before I do so. Any recommendations?

Hmmm, those look pretty nice. Is Trax-Audio the only known company that sells them in the US though? Google hasn't turned up much on either of them as far as making a purchase.

I believe that it currently is. I talked with Jim Wilson from the thread on AVS forum and he said that the M20W = $150 and the M50W = $250 and that Jeff at Trax-Audio was good to deal with.

In talking with Jon at The Audio Insider, he said that they might be carrying these in the first or second quarter of 2011.
