I did it...now I will be able to enjoy the glories of Dolby Headphone in my bedroom.

Merry Christmas to me....this was what I put my Christmas cash towards and the sales of the past few items.

As soon as I get it and put it through it's paces..I will do a head to head comparison with it's big brother the DIR1000.

Congrats, so you bought it anyways.

Hope you will enjoy it, please tell us how you think the difference from DIR1000C.

BY the way there are 3 inputs for DIR800C. Optical digital(toslink), coaxial digital(RCA) and analog(RCA). And it's closed phone, weighs 250g.

May I make another request? I'd love to see some high quality photos of the unit -- I wonder what all those "dots" or "holes" in the front are (I presume they are purely decorative.)

Can you switch between the two digital inputs?

The PPX didnt arrive as of last night 12/24...but my PO will hold it foir me till my return Monday,

Didn't know that....fanastic news!
This means I can have the coaxial and analog connections running from my Digital cable box as well as the optical running from the DVD player..I am one happy camper now!
