Apogee Symphony i/o as an Audiophile DAC?

Would anyone have any experience with the Apogee Symphony i/o as a DAC?

I was struck watching this promotional video from Apogee how the two Nashville producers use language almost identical to local audiophiles while describing the DAC.

I was thinking the same thing. We may be alone. Apogee told me today that USB streaming is coming via software update.

Interesting. The Duet was held in high regard as a DAC, and Apogee are making big noises about the sound quality and D/A capabilities of the Duet 2.

"Very close to the Symphony", a rep told me. How close is to be seen, some should be in the hands of users/reviewers now.
