Profire 610 as Amp/Dac?

I was planning to get a NFB-12, but also I'm looking for a interface for recording with a XLR mic/guitar and bass as well as getting some rokit rp6's.  I was probably going to get the M-Audio Profire 610.

 

Would the Profire be great for headphone listening as well?  Or will the extra 200 for the NFB-12 be a lot better?

I bought the M-Audio profire 610 six months ago. Gave me lot of driver issues on my Win 7 HP laptop, worked allright on my Macbook.I used it as a stereo DAC & also used it as a 4 channel soundcard for DJing along with Traktor DJíng software. Last month outputs 3 & 4 started giving problems. That was it for me, sold it for $150.

 

If you go to the M-Audio formus you will find a lot of people complaining about the Profire 610. Will never buy an M-Audio product again.

Don't think I'm going to be getting the profire 610.  Probably the saffire pro 24

I have a m-audio firewire 1814 since 3 years. I also have a higher end audiocard fireface 400. Never had any problem with the m-audio card, been recording synths and stuff with it, and yes, the quality of  m-audio is good sounding imo, at least it is for recording. Know tons of musician using it with great sounding records
