Fiio LOD questions

Hi All,

Am about to pull the trigger on one of their LODS for my 6G Nano:

- any comments re durability ? I suspect that we get what we pay for, but I havent seen any criticisms thus far

- I am going for the L5 simply because 20 AUD is still very cheap for a LOD cable : I guess thats conditioning for you - any comment on L1/L3/L5 differences ?

Ta,

estreeter

Given that it doesnt seem anyone has tried both LODs, I am going to buy the L1 and L5 and see if I can tell any difference in SQ.

The L5 is for a Walkman isn't it?

Yep - I've checked my X1060 and it does seem to have a socket for such a LOD :)

Seriously, you are correct, and it appears that I now have to buy all 3 and post my impressions - taking one for the team is rarely this cheap. Definitely cheaper than accruing %##^! DAPs ...

I have a Fuze LOD from them. They're pretty well built. I've had no problems. And you can be extra reassured by that they source from Oyaide for their LODs

I bought the inexpensive one and its not good. Very Intermittent, Micca wants me to send it back so they can evaluate it????

Its not working correctly whats to evaluate.....I'm disappointed.

I have been using an L5 for some time now and it is very durable.

Received the L1 last night, and so far I am very impressed with the improvement over the headphone out on my 6G Nano. Inevitably, the true test of any product is how well it performs over time, but I have had a couple of more expensive (interconnect) cables fail so I'll just wait and see how the tiny cable on the L1 fares over the weeks ahead. Here is the kind of feedback that might have been handy before I ordered the cheaper LOD:

End of the day, its all good - we arent spending the national debt for either of these LOD cables.
