In my recent search for something to hold my headphones, and my lack of money to purchase a real stand, I found in my house, a Gorillapod. Normally used for mounting cameras at different angles, I have found that it can be attached to the side of my desk and hold... my headphones!

The website for gorillapods is here: http://joby.com/gorillapod. I was wondering, anyone else have any interesting or otherwise unusual way of storing their headphones? Pics are welcome!

How is it "attached" to your table, wouldnt it just come crashing down cos its not clamped in any way? Maybe its gripping the glass and working for you, but I dont see this working on any other surface.

Well, the links don't bend all that easily, so what it seems to be doing is holding on by the bottom 3rd part thats under the table. I think the fact that its glass and each part has rubber on it does help, but I don't think it helps that much. I'll have to try it on my bookshelf (which is wood) to see if it works there too.

EDIT: Yep, works there too. Almost seems to hold better.

And this is what the bottom looks like:

They grip pretty well to lots of things. The trick is to bend them right. Also makes a useful stand for an iPad in a pinch if you bend it to look like and easel.
