hello all, if you use Pure Music I have a question for you. it works fine on my iMac, but on my Mac Mini server, it doesn't output to digital. after a few restarts of the software, and even reboots of the machine, I caved and now listen via headphones. but I want to use the digital out (same jack) to a DAC and dedicated headphone amp, not only directly into IEMs.
(by the way, in case anyone cares: both my Ultimate Ears custom IEMs give my two tube-amped DT880s some stiff competition indeed - four options that are different but almost equal, unless I'm into splitting hairs).
so what do I do in Pure Music settings to make the Mac output properly to the digital out? I also use SoundSource, a small app that allows switching between inputs and outputs, and it shows the digital out when I connect the DAC, but refuses to activate it as an output. please help me troubleshoot this issue, which I have never seen on the iMac (same output cable in the same kind of DAC there...)
