Isolation was average w/ the foam.. definitely better than the stock tips (I couldn't get a solid, full seal with them so poor isolation is to be expected in that situation).. isolation doesn't seem to be a strongpoint with these phones regardless of fit, though.

As far as comfort & isolation, the Monster foam tips are them best I've found so far for the GR07.. I'm awaiting word from the Comply folks on their "tip thread" to find out what fits cause at this point, no one has found a Comply tip that's compatible.. I think another user in this thread was getting the T-200 to try and it looks like those might be the ones that fit..

yea i read the 200's, 140's, and p's all fit (some tighter than others). ive been talking to comply through there facebook page and they said they will be testing them very soon. these monster tips have caught my eye though, lots of people seem to think they dont effect SQ at all (in a negative way) compared to comply tips. once again, thanks for the post.

In my experience, I can confirm this.. they sound accoustically transparent to my ears.. another big reason I like the monster foam tips..

I can confirm the T200 will be a perfect fit for GR07. T140 will need a little push, P series will need a lot more push. If you are going for Comply, T200 will be the right choice. I also tried the new Comply Ts series and they are better then the old T series as they don't muff as much treble. So Ts200 will be an even better choice for GR07 than T200.

does the t200 make the sound better compared to sony hybrids?

Depends how you like it. People say that foam tips kill some of the treble and increases the boom in the bass a little bit.

I won't say it sounds better or worst going from Sony Hybrid to T200. It does add a distinct warmness and a little thickness to the sound but takes away a little of the openness. If you want a really open sounding foam tips, I will recommend JAYS foam instead.

Sry my phone wont let me quote for some reason

Clie: thanks for the post, i didnt even know about the new Ts until you mentioned it. How is the isolation/comfort on the Ts compared to the old T. Fit wise im not so sure about spherical tips, even if its foam lol.

Isolation is comparable between T and Ts series. I actually think Ts series fits just a tab better because it is easier to insert and sounds better because the nozzle opening is bigger than T series (less foam in that area to absorb sound).

Buy the way... I strongly recommend check out the stock tips first, before ordering Sony Hybrids.. I've purchased fake Sony Hybrids but do prefer the stock biflages instead (the small one). If these biflaged tips feet your year, they are a great option.

For those wondering are VSonic GR07 worth upgrading over Head Direct RE0 's  :

  • Go for VSonic GR07 if :

- You use Ipod, Cowon, Samsung, Sony etc DAPs. You do not use portable amps and do not own HiFi DAP-s with onboard amp, like S:Flo2 / Teclast T51, HiFiman HM-601 / 602 , Cube C30...

- You are not sibilant sensitive and prefer classical/acoustical music, less vocal music ...

- You are sick of RE0's microphonics, you don't wanna mess with RE0's any longer...

- You love RE0 signature, but your RE0's are hardly abused or broken, you need buy new earphones, you don't wanna mess with RE0's any longer...

- You need earphones that last long, you hate buying/trading earphones often.

  • Go for RE0 if :

- You have portable amp or a capable DAP, that could proper drive RE0's.

- You want the best bang for buck performer, that properly amped, offers great neutral sounding allover the spectrum.

- You are an accurate person, you know how to take care of expensive, fragile toys and you fit the case above.

Using both earphone on Cowon Iaudio 7, Teclast T51 and HiFiMan 601, having burned tham in 200+ hours both, this is my conclusion :

When properly amped, there is little quality difference between them, including bass region. More than that, when amped, Re0's soundstage sounds more realistical that GR07's uber-wide stage. In terms of fun and enjoyment, I could give GR07 my preference based on 3D stage, if not the annoying peak in the 6khz region.

And there is one more thing to consider too. RE0 can be easily and reversible moded, putting some wadding in the tube canal. After this mode, my RE0's gained the needed bass and lost some overemphasized treble energy, becoming the most linear-neutral phones I had ever heard (better then HD600, DT880, HD595...). Moded RE0 could become the ultimate giant killer, if not the low sensitivity, poor accessories and build issues ...

I am sorry for posting this message on two different forums, but there are lot of people out there who needed the answer on this question..

IT's just my IMHO...

I'm glad the teble doesn't bother me at all, I must be deaf in that spectrum. In fact, I have my Ck-10s for sale on eBay.

Arent vsonic7 suppose to be nothing like the RE0? More neutral and warm sound? more bass extension and texture?

Ouf, I don't know about this. I just bought supertip sampler pack at bestbuy a few weeks ago and found them to be at best 'decent' for 15 bucks. I have to disagree with them being transparent. The gels deepened the bass a lot and completely obliterated the great soundstage of the IE8's i own. The foams were a bit better, but still worse than the stocks tips, which really disappointed me. Sound stage really takes a hit with these tips, I don't know if it's the rubber core they claim to make these tips so good.. but bass noticeably deepens, soundstage shrinks in width and treble automatically sounds less prominent...

Maybe the supertips are vastly superior to the stock ones bundled with the gr07's, but I would be careful with the monster tips, definitely avoid the gels...
