Realtek ALC888 on board or 5hv2 usb soundcard?

So the topic speaks for itself. I have the Steelseries 5hv2(i play FPS a lot) headset but I wonder what is a better sound card to plug them in.

My on board Realtek ALC888 or the USB sound card that comes with 5hv2 headset? Any explanations will be good.
