Why not?

DiGiorno's Pizza And Cookies Combo Is Watershed Moment In American Obesity - The Consumerist

(Note: I would recommend not reading the linked article as it's written in the usual "I'm-smarter-than-you-fatties" tone.  It also has a glaring error: Nestle has owned the Toll House brand for quite a while now and it was the Kraft Pizza Company (creators of DiGiorno/Delissio and distributors of California Pizza Kitchen's frozen line) that was recently purchased by the Swiss food giant.  The link is merely proof that I'm not insane - for now.)

I tried the Digiorno Pizza and Breadsticks twice, it was incredibly bland flavor-wise compared to other frozen pies.

Sounds like a college student's dream box. I will be buying several to go with my Easy-Mac, Pop-Tarts, Cereal, Taco Bell, In-n-Out and Ramen.

I love the tags in the article: SYNERGY.

I laughed =D

Coincidentally, "Pizza and Cookies" is also the title of the next album from Ludacris.

If only we had ovens in the dorms :)

I wonder if the cookies would taste like pizza if you baked them at the same time.

Ah, I've just realized that... Hm... Know anyone in the dining facilities? I'm at a JC... Much cheaper.

I'm going to say they were the worst frozen pizzas and breadsticks I've ever had.

I'm still waiting for the pizza and churros combo pack.

I have never been a DiGiorno fan. I used to really like the Red Baron deep dish pizza, except that of course my store stopped carrying it (if they even make them anymore). I also can't fathom how pizza and cookies go together. I've never eaten pizza and thought, "Hmm...cookies would be great!" Then again, I've never understood the brownie you find in some cheap frozen dinners, either, and I always eat the "batter" frozen because I think it tastes better uncooked.

Yeah, I'm weird. And I'm not getting down on this product. If this satisfies some lifetime yearning ("Together at last!"), then all the more power to you! I officially endorse your enjoyment! smily_headphones1.gif

And I probably had better not read the article. I've sounded off before on here about how I feel about people who think they know what's best for everyone else. I'd rather die happy and fat at 55 years of age than miserable and fit at 90. And if you would rather do it the other way, then that's your choice. biggrin.gif

But don't try to make that choice for me. mad.gif

Does anyone else HATE DiGiorno pizza? I think it's absolutely disgusting.

I like Freschetta's ultra thin crust, much less damaging compared to other frozen stuff and tastes pretty decent as well.
