Auzentech X-fi Home theater HD or Asus HD AV1.3 or something else HD audio compatible?

Auzentech X-fi Home theater http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-fi_hometheater_hd.php#updates

may be one option. Is it compatible with Power DVD 10 mark II. It does come with power DVD 9? I suppose I can´t use it´s video acceleration feature if I want to run at 1920x1080 at 120 hertz?

or Asus hdav 1.3 http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=QY0Ud4MG0DMfXNiQ&templete=2. This seems linked to some Arcsoft player? Does it work with powerDVD 10 mark II as well?

My Elite Pro is acting up a bit much as of late and since I just gotten 3D vision I will be watching a lot of 3D movies out of my 3D monitor. Would preferr not to loose the HD audio streams while doing so. Have a HD compatible receiver but as I understand both this also plays HD audio not just sending the signal through to receivers?

It will also be used for gaming and dolby encoding that works would be quite useful. My experience so far is there is some glitches here and there with live dolby encoding. As for music playback will mostly use my dedicated DACs so they have to do bit perfect and do well as a transport primarily.

Is there other options then those mention please enlighten me.

Neither card supports Blu-ray 3D.  To get optimum performance, you would have to run an HDMI cable from the video card to the monitor and a second HDMI cable from the sound card to the receiver.

Yes I figured you could run video from the video card and audio from the soundcard on both?

Another newb question. It´s fine to use pci-E boards in a PCI E 4x slot for video cards?

Yes.  A higher level PCIe slot can accept a lower level PCIe card.

Well I changed course now. I believe todays video cards like the GTX 580 can pull the same trick. Putting HD audio through the mini HDMI jack. I was going to order one anyway so I will see how that works.

It also appear like it´s more my receiver then soundcard that is acting up. Need to recheck connections because sometimes I just get audio through my left speaker. the other time I get audio through both. the third time only the left speaker. The fourth time only sime rumble from the sub... have no clue what is happening currently.

I was looking at both of these cards last month. I spoke with tech support with both companies and neither were planning to upgrade the card to HDMI 1.4

Also I woudnt rely on your graphics card to provide high quality audio, especially if you are used to hearing the Elite Pro. I have the Elite myself  (not that it's the greatest mind you..). But it is light years ahead of an audio chip that is on a graphics card.
