Update? The winner needs to be congratulated biggrin.gif And the OP for such generosity smily_headphones1.gif I'd love to see a review sometime. See if the owner is a lover or hater of the sound sig. I love the HD650 surprisingly, I was expecting to hate it from head-fi impressions.

Congratulations yifu. Make sure you allow your ears time to adjust to the HD650's lush signature. It may take a little while to really appreciate how great it is, especially if you're used to the exaggerated bass and treble of other cans. Come join us in the Appreciation thread when you're ready. beerchug.gif

Congratulations. They are an amazing set of cans. I hope you plan on upgrading your amp and DAC soon wink.gif HD650 are very good cans and not that your current gear isn't good, just HD650 are so amazing I think they deserve better tongue.gif Oh and olor1n, you don't think HD650 have exaggerated bass? I do for sure. My DT880 are no way near the same as the HD650. DT880 are pretty darn neutral and HD650s bass is just WAY stronger, a lot more present.

When I use the neutral Earth hdam in my dac's output stage the HD650 is very well balanced. The bass is present with good body and no bloat. When I swap to the warmer and apparently more tube like Moon hdam my HD650 sounds like my MS-1i but on steroids, with much deeper bass but with just as much punch. I find the HD650 to have plenty of bass despite what Head-Fi would have you believe. And no, on my setup it is not exaggerated, it's just right imo.
