My Little Dot MkII amp has, since I've bought it, been making noises when turned all the way down that sound a bit like the striking of a match followed by buzzing. It's pretty much really quiet white noise. It does this constantly and only stops when it's turned off. Note, this is not the noise you hear when you have something turned all the way up. The volume is all the way down and there is no music playing.
Is it the tubes? They are no-name tubes that came with it. I don't have any other tubes to try with it, so I can't determine this. Or, is this normal for this amp?
This isn't a major problem (hopefully). I can't hear the sound when music is playing. It's just a bit... worrying.
