I am more interested in knowing the difference in SQ between the MSII+ and MS II pro (when used single ended )

I personally think you'd be more than happy with the MS2. I only hesitate because I have not ever used the MS2 but I have the MS2+ and e7 and have used other DACs and though I love my MS2+ I don't think the price/performance was really there over what I already paid. Meaning I think they both make an incredible difference but the >100% cost premium probably dosenst buy much. I think the MS2 will be more then you need. If the e7 had a line out I'd be happy with it.

I'm not sure why this is but my MS2+ is significantly louder then any other DAC I've used (but I haven't used that many) which surprised me. It makes doing comparisons hard because in order to get it to the same loudness as other DACs I have to lower the volume in the PC sound mixer (down to 54%!) which may impact SQ. I have no idea if the MS2 would have the same output level but I'm putting that out there in case someone can use the info.

Though it is a better DAC, I personally do not believe there is any point in paying the price premium for the pro unless you need the balanced outs. There was someone else on here who got the pro to use non-balanced and he took it back. Plus, it's still a 24/96 DAC.
