I am planning to get a soundcard or dac, as I feel that the output from my onboard realtek audio isn't really satisfying me. Primary requirement would be music and I'm sure that I won't be bothering with anything more than stereo.
I'll be using it mostly with a Philips SHP9000 or Altec Lansing MX5021 speakers. What would be a vfm option? Looking at Xonar DX and Fiio E7 but I'd be happy with something even cheaper as long as it is a decent improvement from my onboard audio+e5.
