Coiled vs. straight cable.  No difference in sound quality (at least there shouldn't be).

get coil for portable. straight is for home

M50s is straight. M50 is coiled.

I've always found coiled cables to be more agrivating on the road or at home. they stretch out if they even get snagged on anything and pop up when tugged hard enough, they don't fit well in a pocket  and tangle something fierce.

I love my coiled cable M50.  i find it exceedingly convenient, especially considering the cable experience that comes with my Denons. lol
