I have been using the brightness filter on position #1 and the crossfeed on my HeadRoom amp along with my HD650's since day one, and have always been curious on what kind of numbers both were adding to the sound. So tonight I finally took some measurements.
This is the difference between the brightness switch off and on filter 1:
1000hz: 1db
1500hz: 1~2db
2000hz: 2db
2500hz: 2db
3000hz: 2~3db
4000hz: 3db
5000hz: 3db
7500hz: 3db
10000hz: 3db
12500hz: 3db
15000hz: 3db
This is the difference between crossfeed off and on:
25hz: 3db
30hz: 3db
40hz: 3db
45hz: 3db
50hz: 2db
100hz: 2db
200hz: 2db
250hz: 2db
300hz: 2db
400hz: 2db
500hz: 1db
Not to brag, but these are pretty much exactly what I assumed the results would look like. I knew it was adding slightly more sub-bass than mid-bass, and this is also the treble increase and shape I had guessed.
