New plugs or join cable on headphones?

Hi, I need to shorten my cable on my Sennheiser pc350 headset, 10ft is way too much!

My dilemma is whether to:

Cut cable to the desired length and solder new plugs,

or

Cut the cable and solder the cable back together, keeping the original plugs,

or

Coil up the cable with some sort of cable management device,

I have found lots of great information and how to's on soldering new plugs but not on just doing the cable, and I don't know if coiling the cable will cause any interference.

As I am new to this I am unsure which one would have the greatest effect on the quality of audio, any info would be much appreciated.

It's a headset, likely for gaming, which means plugged in to back of computer, I'd just coil the cable and use a ziptie.

x2

Any interference caused by doing this is plainly not relevant for the lowly pc350...
