Cheers - the DAC is the Yulong D100. I will make it a plan to test both outputs then. It means buying two sets of cables then...In terms of the schematics - I would not know what I'd be looking for - for that sort of thing.  I also thought that theoretically it didn't make sense that I would get any improvement connecting like that. Thanks!
