no i didnt buy them i auditioned them at best buy. they let me plug them into my ipod.

ehhhhh i recieved a broken one.... ill try to return it >.< only the L worked, i think its the wires in the headband... are those hard to fix?

And I just received my E5 and Ultrasone Pro 750 - I'm not gonna lie, these things BLOW the 750djs out of the water - but they def need an amp. And the Pro 750 are SO comfortable - I've put them on my head now and I don't think they'll be leaving it for 2-3 days lol. That being said I'm still sad that due to the headband design I'm going to have to return my 750djs - cuz they still rock :D.

diodel did try getting a new cable it could possibly just be the cable. the cables are about $20 on amazon or you could order directly from shure.

yea man ill return these for sure and just get brand new ones >.< im regretting not buying brand new ones instead...

why do mine distort so much. i love them they look good and sound really good but i cannot stand the distortion. i am not using an amp or dac. and the beats pros didn't distort so i highly doubt its because it can't be driven. did i get a dud. i used my pioneer se m390 the other day and they cost $70 and they didn't distort as much but still did distort to much. and they sounded very muddy but still sounded much better then the shures distortion wise. wtf is going on here. the shures cost 2x the price. why is it so hard to find a pair of headphones that do not distort. my logitech speakers which cost $30 don't distort. i thought headphones were the cheaper way to get higher end audio. please tell me if it happens to you. does it distort without an amp. and if so did an amp fix it. please help me i dont want to have to get rid of these. as i cannot bring them back to the store. i just want to have a distortionless music experience.

for those wondering i'm listening to rock and metal. and don't say its the music i listen to as electronic techno/trance does it to. especially on the high pitched vocals or guitars.

ohhman i dont know about that, itried the broken 750s, they werent distorting... the L side "only working part" sounded really clear but i had to max my ipod's volume >.<

i think i may have gotten a dud. oh i wish i hadn't everything i read about these headphones are praises about their sound quality. they sound clear but they distort high notes. and it really irritates them. and its not because i listen to loud because even at really quiet it distorts. something is wrong most of my other headphones can go quiet without distorting but these can"t.

that song distorts when he sings the chorus (counting bodies like sheep to the rythm  of the war drums)

does it distort for you. thats the premier example i could think of. even at low volumes it distorts. it really hurts my ears. it makes a screeching noise when it plays high frequencies. does it do that for you. even the slightest distort bugs me. does an amp fix it for you guys. thanks for the help.
