Samsung M1, DNSe3 thoughts, rig building?

So I've searched around the forums for anything related to the M1, and it seems it's on similar footing with the J3. Now, I'm not completely sure what I'm asking... but I just need some thoughts on Samsung's DNSe 3.0 by audiophiles. I've yet to listen to many other players but I'm thinking it's adequate for high-end gear like a JH16.

Now, what I'm curious about is that, as of right now, my knowledge is very VERY limited (aka I'm a supernoob) and I'm just learning about this stuff, and I'm wondering what can I do to improve my rig with the M1 as my source. I can't really find clear information on HO rigs, but I do see alot of stuff like imod - LOD stuff.

Would you guys suggest keeping the M1 and adding to it, or sell it and get an iPod Touch (imod?) - LOD - amp - JH16? I also hear the 16s don't need an amp...

My budget is limited to 2500, but I guess I could drop the bomb and do a ipod/pad - solo - 3A - 16 ? :)

I'm sorry the offtopic but as I started typing, my thoughts rolled onto my fingers, and I might as well ask x)

Samsung M1 sounds good to my ears, but it doesnt have lineout

because you use JH16, so i think you need something higher end source like imod, hifiman, colorfly,  and then portable amp like corda stepdance, iqube or other high end portable amp

DNSe 3 is really nice, Samsung's put a lot of work into it and it shows. I would say it's on par with Cowon's. Some settings can really exaggerate the sound, but it never gets too unnatural. Lately I've strayed away from any form of DSP, but the audio processing on my P3 works quite well.

So will my M1 bottleneck ES5 or JH13? @_@ Can someone confirm this so I should start looking into higher end sources? Thanks

I love my DNSe T_T

I've read that the JH16s don't really 'need' an amp. Is this true?

They'll probably sound fine out of the M1. Unsurprisingly, they will probably improve with better sources, but I wouldn't call it a "bottleneck." You can stop bumping now.
