Hi

 

I've started to think about what I shall be looking for when buying gear.

At the moment I use my dads old TT, Cambridge 640p and a x-can V8.

 

In the relatively near future I'm going to buy my first speaker setup, amp, speakers, new TT ...

 

I'm starting with the TT since I can use it with the headphones until i find everything else.

 

At the moment my thoughts are at:

Linn Genki/ similar meridian

Linn K140, Kollektor

Speakers ?

 

I've mostly looked for gear from 90-00. How does it compare to newer used gear? I have a feeling that the amps hasn't changed that much but CDP might, especialy the DAC part.

 

What would be a good table with the Linn amps?

I've seen a used heybrook TT2. How does it compare to newer TTs and what might be problems with it?
