There are many famous audio company from British and other European country brand like NAIM, ARCAM and many more but why DAP are either japanese, korean or chinese. Any great portable player from European side? Very curious to know.

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

Trying to get back on track (and I've reported you Cold Pizza so I'd leave it there if I was you) the Korean and Japanese markets are quite distinct, whereas British manufacturers would be entering the European/US market which is already dominated by Apple.
I understand a company as large as Microsoft deciding to have a pop but there is little in it for other coporations with an existing customer base to try and enter the DAP market risking all the R&D, production and marketing costs on a high chance of failure.
There is also the fact that it would not fit most of their company profiles, which are mostly for luxury goods. Cambridge Audio does entry level stuff but, again, I don't see why they would bother.

People, if someone makes an offensive or obviously trollish post, PLEASE do not reply to it, but click on the red report button (a circle with a line through it) bottom-left and let us know what the problem is. By replying, you encourage the troll and trash the thread. I've removed the crap and replies now, so please continue as you were... :)
