Right when I wanna order the HR-2...
This beast decides to make its appearance

What to do... What to do?

Oh my god... I just saw the pictures of the inside.

Mr. Samuels sure has a way with impeccable internal wiring...
Even the HR-21 looks absolutely perfect... By the way...

How many solder points are there in the HR-2?

Is there an asking price on this?
Will it be more expensive that the HR-2?

If I had the money I'd buy this amp just to open it up and look at it. This is insane build quality -- I love it. This is the exact build philosophy I would use, if I had the resources and know-how

Honnestly... it probably sounds amazing and the building quality looks top notch. But... I found the design ugly. It looks like a tube amp in a solid state amp's clothes.

To each one it's own.

I don't see a lot wrong with Ray's austere design. However, I was just wondering what you were expecting?

So.. what's the tube amp "supposed" to look like?... MG Head?..

IMO, a lot of tube amp looks like what Ray's got here anyway.. Earmax Pro, the new Supra is going to look like that as well... I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

I didn't expect anything.

I just like tube amps like this :

Well, you have to pay for fancy casework like that. I'm sure that particular amp is at least 3-4 times the asking price of the Stealth probably more Me, I'd rather listen to my amp than look at it, put that $$ toward better internal build than fancy casework. Ray's gear are not fashion accessories, they're built to last, he uses all military spec components and the cases are very rugged so they'll probably survive WW3. For what it is, and what it will cost, I think it's pretty darn attractive!

I admit I went abit overboard

But you get the picture

I second what's being said about the build quality. After they drop the bomb, the cockroaches will be able to listen to my XP-7.

From the ignorant observation i can make, i assume it costs atleast an emmeline and a half ; ) Looks like he puts alot of hard work into these, and those components certainly aren't cheap

I agree with the comments about how clean the layout is, just gorgeous. Very, very nice looking units. Looks like another winner!

Is that a switching power supply on the daughter board?

Anyway, the amp looks good. Though I don't know what the difference between "Play" & "On" is. LOL..

Nice parts too... DACT, Hovlands & Holco's (Or RC55Y's)..

Could almost imagine DACT selector switches being used instead of the CK's.

I have the final production version of the amp at home for audition/review. I wish i could offer you some early impressions but my ears are shot and have been for the past few days. When My hearing recovers I'll get going on the review and post some impressions before then
