Little Dot MK III low volume level?

Just got the LD MKIII today and currently listening to various songs. Am currently cranking up the volume to a 3 o'clock position (80/100) to achieve comfortable listening. My question, is the volume level that weak for the LD? Which volume level do you use?

 

Source is PC line out > LD MKIII > DT990 (250 ohms). Gain settings is 5.

have you tried setting the gain setting to 10? I believe that is what most folks are using for higher impedance(250 ohm and above) cans.

also are you sure your pc line out is a true line level out? just because it says line out doesn't mean that it is delivering a line level signal.
