I like the new one - it looks pretty cool!

 

Those of you with a Frys nearby should start checking the store regularly, though.  The old ones may go on a great sale soon.  I bought a couple for $50 each several months ago - they may get lower than that this time.

yeah that Hakko FX-888  does look a bit more modern. Tomb thanks for the heads up. Last time I saw one in Frys it was around $70. I bought a knock off a while back and while it does work fine it sucks only being able to get tips online.

FYI, if you bought a knock off one, you should be able to use real tips bought from fry's or wherever.
