Recommendation for Ipod Classic 6th Generation LOD and ER4P to ER4S Resistor Adaptor

Hey all!

Just bought a used pair of ER4P and am really enjoying them. I want to try them as a ER4S. I'm considering getting an amp and have asked for some advice in other forums. (If anyone here has a favorite amp, I'd love to hear about it. I'm planning on spending around $100 w/ a $200 max).

I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I don't want to be regretting my purchase in 3 months either. I know nothing about this side of audio. So far, it's been ipod classic and rotating through a bunch of high end iems. So far, my headfi journey has been a blast, but I'm ready for another step. So what LOD and resistor should I buy? Is it ok to get the Fiio LOD and one of the $10 ebay plug resistors? Or do you have other suggestions?

I want to max out my experience on a budget!

Thanks!

On a review at a Chinese forum they said that those adaptors only get 70% of ER4S sound. Its a better choice to buy a pair of ER4S used.
