HiFIMAN issues

Thread Starter

Issues, received my unit, no usb cord no biggie, I have many.  Using Mac plugged it in and drag and drop some music from iTunes, did the usual loading but would sometimes fail in middle saying couldn't load file and ejected unit with message about a bad eject??? lol  So I unplug and click on noname on desktop and it shows some music files but on unit there's nothing under artists or albums etc.  Under flash on board there is files that play but just lists songs, why don't they show up on main menu under artists etc?  So I plugged it back in and clicked on unit and erased all music files but they still show under flash on board after I unplugged it.  Is there a way to delete all files from unit itself??? It would be nice for a user manual at this price point, clip+ has one.  Called customer support many times and left message on this but as usual no reply.  Three emails later and haven't heard anything either, what to do?  Shouldn't be this hard, and customer support sucks, I should have learned from my past with them but really wanted to like this player.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, I guess I can return it but can't talk to anyone there to find out how.  Thanks in advance for any help.

My Hifiman behaves the same when connected to my Macbook Pro. It is recognized as an external storage unit, I can start loading music on it but it fails right in the middle and generally whatever has been transferred is corrupted and unreadable. So, since I suspect it's some sort of software bug affecting Mac users, I eventually gave up using the  embedded flash memory.
