I have a set of Alessandro MS1i's on the way to me from the US (thanks again Head Fi classifieds!), and want to plan out a system. As I understand it, they are similar to the SR80 or SR125's from Grado. I expect to use either with my Bolder modded Logitech SB3 or stock iTouch via LOD as the source.
Music runs the full range from spacemusic (Absolute Sounds Spacemusic Sampler is a favourite) to grunge (being 40 has its baggage!) to jazz and blues.
For the record, my main rig is the Bolder modded Logitech SB3, into a Magnavox SE EL84 amp, to an electronic Xover, to Visaton b200 open baffles, and open baffle subs driven off a Dayton 500w amp.
I have combed these forums, and see that 4 amps seem to bubble to the top for use with the Grado sound.
