Plugged headphones into computer speakers headphone jack, hope i didn't ruin headphones..

Hey guys. I recently was given a pretty terrible pair of computer speakers, so i figured I would use the front headphone jack on them so I don't have to unplug the speakers. However these speakers amplified my headphones, so things sounded really bassy and somewhat distorted. I listened to music on them for maybe 10 min or so. In doing this, do you think i affected the headphone in any way? I think they sound fine, but i tend to worry!

lol sounds like what happened to me when i ran my headphones through my guitar amp.I doubt it does any damage but I ended up bypassing it.

I wouldn't suspect ten minutes of playing would've ruined them.  Continual over-amping could certainly damage something.

sometimes when I plug in my headphones it makes a cracking noise that sounds like I'm about to blow them out. This is bad right?
