How do I Coil up my Sennheiser 598 wires?

I'm looking to make the cord on m 598 coiled. Since the cable is too long for me and ,maybe it'll shorten it

Any way I can do this?

Thanks

A simple way is to wrap the cable semi-tightly around the metal rod of a screwdriver.

I'm curious to see if this will even work.  Subscribed.

Why don't you just cut it short and reterminate it with your favorite plug?

I'm a not an expert of cutting wires and re-terminating them lmfaoo

I have velcro wraps attached to almost all my headphones' cables. When they're stored, they're coiled up completely and the wrap attaches the cable coil to the headband to keep it under control. Otherwise, I uncoil enough to have sufficient play in the cable and the rest loosely looped and held in place with the wrap. If that makes sense.

Cutting the cable and reterminating makes sense if you know that you will always and forever only need a certain shorter length of cable for your phones, but some velcro straps holding loops of free cable are a second-best option.

I doubt it would ruin the sound. However, the method is normally used for cable management inside computers with thin power wires without concern for sound.

Personally, I use a velcro strap to hold excess cable, too. If you are concerned that the coil method would ruin the sound or not work on thicker headphone wire, a velcro strap works great.
