Thanks, Pride!! Well, most of the threads I searched when I became interested in cans seemed to point bassheads to the ATH-M50, SRH750, the HFI-580 or.. uh, I forgot the fourth one. I know the M50 gets a LOT of love around here, so I just wanted to create something for the HFI-580's. Yeah, as much as I think they're overplayed hype, the Beats do look good- the TRON ones are GORGEOUS. Thanks again about the pics!

Anyone try these with the DT250 pads yet? I'm curious if the sound changes at all (as I know that the comfort definitely does)

I have hd650, dt880, dt 48, dt 150, dt770 pro 80, k701, ath m50, and soon a hfi 580 because of your thread.

 

I don't like the bass on the m50 doesn't sound balanced for me..i am a noob too.

whoa, you're collecting!! Next thing I'm thinking of picking up is an iBasso D4, then (down the road) a pair of ATH-WS70's for portability, but wowww. I dig your list. I really wanna score a good pair of Senn's because the little CX 200 earbuds got me hooked on sound better than skullcandies =] . What amps do you have?

Black cube linear amp with stagedac some expensive rca cables with musiland source.

 

Now that i have the hfi 580 i like the bass, i prefer the bass of these over the m50.

 

I can see why you say they sound like a sub woofer.

I keep switching between k701 and the hfi 580.

 

The highs on these are good tbh, nice low end bass..plus the price is good for a £100 can that sounds clear like cans priced twice.

 

compared to unamped i get 20-25% more bass which is much tighter.

 

Yes the amp blow a hole in my bank account.

 

The amps gives detail compared to my little dot mkiii, matrix m stage, makes the make stand out.

 

They have a nice soundstage for a closed can.

After I purchase an amp, I am sorely tempted to get on the orthodynamics hype =] . Fostex T50RP's run sub $100..

I don't know if it's purely S-logic, but you guys should listen to the first 7 seconds of this on your Ultrasone's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1R_txIuuio It trips me out, amkes me think I unplugged my cans, hahaha.
