Q Jays vs RE0

Hey guys, I've had my RE0s for a year and a half now, and still enjoy them very much. I recently obtained an Audinst HUD-MX1 dac/amp that has breathed some new life into them over my laptop's output. I'm looking at the Q Jay's and wondering if it's an upgrade from the re0s or just a side step? I really enjoy the RE0 signature and the balance.

 

I'm also thinking of staying put with the re0s and getting a pair of open cans that are similar to the re0 but just provide more of everything, if that makes any sense, but not too sure with what to go for around the $300 mark for open cans.

 

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

hmmm its more a side grade than anything else, the Q is more fun and bouncy but the 0 is so good there isnt that much out there that is a clear up grade over them.

 

as for open cans, HD600 or 325is
