Hifiman 601 vs 801

I know there are a bunch of reviews and comparisons etc. but I'm just looking for a simple answer.

 

Is there much of a SQ difference between the Hifiman 601/2 and the 801?  Obviously the 801 sounds better but is it like mind boggleingly (sp? haha) better or is it nominallingly (haha) better?

HM601 has a bit of background hiss/hum, while as the hm801 with game card has an almost totally black background. The dynamics and presentation of the hm801 is audibly better than the 601/602. Personally I feel that the hm801 sounds way better than an imod with high quality external caps and high quality headphone amp, which is no mean feat considering the imod route is already very sweet sounding.
