sansa clip+ cant detect a new 16gb sansa microsd class 4

the title says it all. i bought a new microsd and filled it up with flac. inserted it in my clip+ and it cant be detected but when i plug my clip+ to the usb, it reads the internal and external memory. i take the card out and put it in an sd adapter. insert it in a card reader and it also works fine. is my clip+ busted? or i need to update something regarding the firmware? TIA

You should check some of the other clip+ threads, but I think someone else had a problem with the microsd chip being the wrong class.

just for the heck of it - go to - settings - general settings - database - and hit update now.   then wait a minute or two and turn the clip+ off and on.. maybe it is reading the card, but just hasnt loaded the database

 

otherwise, try updating via rockbox updater while the card is in.. see if it works out a bug..

looks like there may be a bug report on the rockbox page about this too..

there is a patch in the notes of this rockbox page - its supposed to fix the issue... let us know if it works for you
